Intermediate or Senior Cladding Designer (Hybrid)

A leading cladding company based in East London is seeking a Senior or Intermediate Cladding Designer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of cladding projects, from design through to site implementation, in a professional and collaborative environment. Salary : Intermediate: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum Senior: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum Flexible working: Hybrid option for the right candidate – minimum one office visit and one site visit per week, or two site visits in a week with no office attendance Benefits : Competitive salary with annual appraisal and review Company laptop and phone 20 days holiday travel expenses for site visits Modern office environment in North Greenwich Mentoring from senior team members and clear career progression Regular office events and team-building activities Responsibilities : Draft and design semi-autonomously from verbal, written, or sketched instructions Work with various cladding materials (panels, insulation, membranes) Produce accurate sub-grid and panel layout drawings Translate photos, surveys, and site measurements into precise designs Collaborate with structural engineers, consultants, architects, and site teams Conduct material take-offs, design meetings, and site inspections Maintain project documentation in a cloud database, including RFIs, tech subs, and change logs Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize under pressure Continuously develop knowledge through supplier CPDs Requirements : Experience in cladding design (3–5 years for Intermediate, 5 years for Senior) – cladding experience is essential; curtain wall experience alone is not sufficient Education in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction preferred (or equivalent experience) Proficient in AutoCAD 2D, PDF software, and Microsoft Office (3D software is a plus) Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship) PDF portfolio of cladding drawings required Based within commutable distance to North Greenwich Full-time office-based role with weekly site visits Driving license preferred Fluent in English (verbal and written) Additional Information: Immediate start preferred
