Job Title: Freight Branch Manager – European Road Freight & Warehousing Location: Essex Salary: £55,000–£60,000 (dependent on experience) Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced and confident Freight Operations Manager to lead our dynamic logistics operation. This leadership position is ideal for someone with a strong background in European Road Freight and hands-on warehousing experience . You will oversee a team of approximately 30 staff across Road Freight, Ocean Freight, Customs , and Warehouse Operations , ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant day-to-day running of the business. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of 30 across multiple logistics functions. Oversee end-to-end European Road Freight operations. Drive efficiency and performance in warehousing and customs processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges. Maintain compliance with relevant transport, customs, and safety regulations. Foster a high-performance culture through clear communication and hands-on leadership. Requirements Proven experience in European Road Freight operations. Hands-on experience in warehouse management . Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams. Ability to navigate the challenges of a fast-paced logistics environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with customs procedures and/or ocean freight is advantageous.
