Stress Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Stress Analyst to join on a contract basis, supporting structural analysis activities across a range of projects. The role involves working with both aluminium and composite components, providing expertise that contributes to safe, efficient, and innovative engineering solutions. What You’ll Do Carry out detailed stress analysis of aluminium and composite structures. Use classical methods and FEA to validate and optimise designs. Provide input on materials, manufacturing constraints, and design improvements. Prepare and present clear technical reports with actionable recommendations. Collaborate closely with design and manufacturing teams. Ensure all work complies with relevant industry and safety standards. What You’ll Bring Demonstrable experience in structural or stress analysis roles. Strong background in both aluminium and composite materials. Track record in aerospace, marine, or defence engineering environments. Proficiency with FEA tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or Nastran. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD data effectively. Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset. Nice to Have Knowledge of certification standards within aerospace, marine, or defence sectors. Familiarity with fatigue and damage tolerance assessments. Experience contributing to design reviews and technical discussions.
