We’re seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to help us maintain a safe and compliant work environment across our operations. Key Responsibilities: Policy Development & Implementation : Create, review, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and company standards. Risk Assessments & Audits: Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Training & Awareness: Deliver engaging health and safety training sessions to staff and management, fostering a culture of safety awareness. Incident Investigation : Investigate workplace accidents and near-misses, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies, ensuring continuous improvement. Toolbox Talks & Awareness Campaigns: Create and deliver materials to promote understanding and discussion on key safety topics Data Collection & Statistical Analysis: Record and analyse data relating to incidents, near misses, audits, training, and safety performance. Use data to identify trends and recurring issues Essential Qualifications & Experience: NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a health and safety advisory role, preferably within a manufacturing or food production environment. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK health and safety legislation and best practices. Skills : Strong communication, training, and report-writing abilities. Car & Driving Licence: Essential as travel will be required Desirable Attributes: Proactive Attitude: Ability to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures. Analytical Skills: Competence in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Team Player: Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams. Continuous Improvement: Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with industry standards.
