Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supporter Care Officer to join a well respected charity based in London. This is a full time, permanent role within the Supporter Care team, focused on delivering excellent donor stewardship and providing high quality supporter experiences to help maximise income and long term engagement. Key responsibilities of the role: • Act as the first point of contact for supporters, providing timely, professional, and friendly responses to enquiries by phone, email, and post • Deliver excellent stewardship by ensuring supporters feel valued, informed, and connected to the charity’s mission • Process donations efficiently and accurately, including setting up regular gifts and handling Gift Aid declarations • Update and maintain the supporter database to ensure accurate records and compliance with data protection regulations • Assist with thanking processes, including drafting and sending personalised thank you letters, emails, and certificates • Work closely with fundraising colleagues to support campaigns, appeals, and events by delivering first class supporter care • Manage the administration of complaints and ensure they are resolved promptly and effectively • Provide reports and insights on supporter feedback to help improve processes and enhance the supporter journey • Contribute to the continuous improvement of supporter care systems and procedures • Undertake any other supporter care or administrative duties as reasonably requested Ideal candidate profile: • Previous experience in supporter care, customer service, or fundraising administration • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with supporters • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing and record keeping • Confident IT user with experience of databases or CRM systems such as Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment • A proactive problem solver with a can do attitude and commitment to delivering excellent service • Understanding of data protection and confidentiality principles • Passion for the charity sector and enthusiasm for delivering a great supporter experience Location: Central London Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience Working hours: Full time, 35 hours per week Working pattern: Hybrid Contract: Permanent This vacancy is being actively shortlisted, so early applications are encouraged.
