Mechanical Site Supervisor/ Foreman | Newport, Wales Perm or Contract We are seeking an experienced Mechanical "Black Hat" Site Supervisor/ Foreman to join a high-profile data centre project in Newport. This role involves managing a specific section of the build inside the facility, overseeing mechanical installations, and coordinating subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery. Key Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate all mechanical installations within your allocated section Supervise subcontractors and ensure works are carried out to specification and on programme Ensure health & safety compliance across the section, including conducting toolbox talks and risk assessments Liaise with site management, engineering, and commissioning teams to resolve issues quickly Monitor progress, report updates, and maintain quality standards Manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring smooth operations within your area Requirements Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager / Black Hat Supervisor Ideally from a mechanical or building services background Previous experience on data centre, industrial, or large-scale MEP-heavy projects preferred Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, and mechanical systems Excellent organisational and leadership skills Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate with multiple stakeholders Relevant safety qualifications (e.g. SSSTS, SMSTS, or equivalent)
