Design Manager Location: North West Salary - up to £70k plus company car / allowance / pension / healthcare / discretionary bonus / 26 days holiday. Were looking for a talented Design Manager to take ownership of design processes, ensuring projects pass through every gateway seamlessly and are delivered right first time. Youll be working on an exciting mix of developments, including a flagship scheme of 200 apartments and houses. The role Youll be the driving force behind design management and associated procedures, leading on all design-related matters from early feasibility through to construction stages. Your focus will be on identifying design solutions, managing design risks, and spotting opportunities that support both project delivery and new business wins. What youll be doing: Managing the design process to ensure optimum solutions are developed and delivered first time Controlling contractual design responsibilities and mitigating related risks Ensuring projects meet programme, quality, and commercial targets Driving the design process across frameworks, two-stage tenders, and bespoke developments Championing company values and positioning the business as the contractor of choice What youll bring: Proven experience as a Design Manager in construction or housebuilding Strong understanding of pre-construction and construction stage design management The ability to assess risks, find solutions, and maintain quality under pressure Excellent communication and coordination skills across design teams and stakeholders A proactive, detail-focused approach with a commitment to getting it right first time Why join?
