Project Manager

People Group is recruiting a Project Manager from a contractor background to work in the Eastern Region on waterways, Flood Defence schemes, Navigation structures and Highways/ Road schemes. Key Accountabilities: Management of site staff, operatives and sub-contractors Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments and Project Management plans Understand tender allowances and monitor contract loss against agreed budgets Preparing and monitoring programmes of work Foster good relations and reputation with clients Manage design coordination Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion of contracts Supervise, mentor and assist in the career development of junior staff Qualifications, Certifications and Experience required: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Project Management role working for a main contractor. Experience working within waterways, flood defence/ structures and highways/ road schemes. HND/ HNC/ BEng or equivalent Valid SMSTS qualification and appropriate CSCS card Must be happy to travel to site in Peterborough / Cambridge 5 days a week. On offer is a salary of between £ 64,000 - £74,000 per annum, a Company Car, a pension, 25 days' holiday entitlement, and more.
