Yard Operatives

Location: Stratford-upon-Avon Shifts: Morning Shift: 06:00 - 14:00 Afternoon Shift: 14:00 - 22:00 Days: Monday to Friday Pay Rate: £12.40 per hour (Mornings) £13.64 per hour (Afternoons) Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm and Permanent roles available Key Responsibilities: General yard duties, including manual handling, sorting, and moving goods Loading and unloading vehicles using appropriate manual handling techniques Keeping the yard clean, safe, and organised at all times Segregation of materials for recycling and waste Working efficiently and safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment Adhering to site health and safety policies and procedures Reporting any issues, damages, or concerns to yard supervisors or managers Operating machinery or tools (if trained and authorised) Collaborating with team members and other departments as needed Requirements: Ability to work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions Physically fit - role involves heavy lifting and standing for long periods Punctual, reliable, and hard-working Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Good communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and take on new tasks Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential) Own transport or ability to reliably commute to Stratford-upon-Avon What We Offer: Competitive hourly pay Weekly pay (depending on agency/employer setup) Temp-to-perm and permanent opportunities Supportive and friendly working environment On-the-job training provided Career progression for the right candidates ASC Connections Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
