Solicitors – Professional Indemnity & Civil Litigation (two appointments) Location: Manchester (Leeds also considered) Employment: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Up to £45,000 bonus A leading UK law firm is looking to appoint two talented Solicitors to join its growing practice. Both roles offer high-quality work, exposure to significant cases, and the opportunity to be part of a supportive, Legal 500-recognised team. We are recruiting at the same level for: Solicitor – Professional Indemnity (Tier 2 Legal 500-ranked team) You will: Handle a broad range of professional indemnity and liability claims, from small disputes to multi-million-pound cases. Advise on insurance policy coverage issues and disputes. Manage your own caseload under partner supervision, delivering pragmatic and commercial advice. Support business development and contribute to the continued growth of this highly regarded team. Matters include professional liability, public liability, property damage, D&O, and coverage disputes across sectors such as construction, accountancy, technology, care, and social welfare. Solicitor – Civil Litigation (Legal Expenses Insurance focus) You will: Provide initial opinions on a wide variety of disputes, including breach of contract, nuisance, property disputes, boundary disputes, professional negligence and construction. Manage your own caseload under supervision, including setting strategy and reserves. Work on both claimant and defendant cases, with exposure to insured and privately funded matters. Deliver clear, accurate and pragmatic advice while developing relationships with clients and insurers. The Civil Litigation team handles fast-moving, varied work and offers a strong training and development framework. What We’re Looking For (both roles): 0–3 years’ PQE with solid experience in either professional indemnity or civil/commercial litigation. Knowledge of insurance claims and Civil Procedure Rules. Strong communication, organisational and client-handling skills. Ability to manage a busy caseload under supervision and deliver high-quality advice.
