Overview Engineering Manager | Enterprise features at n8n. Lead the second Enterprise Features engineering team, accelerating the delivery of enterprise-grade capabilities such as advanced security, compliance, scalability, and reliability. Responsibilities Directly manage and mentor a team of engineers (3–4 initially, scaling to 6) Set clear goals and maintain high technical and delivery standards Foster a culture of accountability, autonomy, and collaboration Oversee design, development, and release of critical enterprise features Contribute hands-on (10–20%) to set technical direction and review code Ensure robust, scalable, and reliable implementations that meet customer needs Act as a bridge between engineering and enterprise-facing teams Translate enterprise customer requirements into actionable solutions Align with Product, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success on priorities Establish engineering best practices and enterprise-grade processes Guarantee rigorous standards for security, compliance, and reliability Continuously improve workflows to maximize team performance and delivery Must-haves Proven leadership of high-performing engineering teams (3–6 engineers) in cross-functional settings with product and design Recognized as a bar raiser — raising technical and execution standards Product mindset with a strong bias to deliver customer value; comfortable talking to customers to understand pains Strong technical skills in at least one modern programming language (ideally TypeScript / Node.js) Experience in startup or fast-moving environments, ideally in B2B SaaS or complex technical products (automation, devtools, integrations) Excellent communicator and collaborator across technical and non-technical teams, as well as customers and users Nice-to-haves Experience building enterprise-grade features (security, compliance, scalability) Prior founder experience or entrepreneurial background Remote-first leadership experience Benefits Competitive compensation with equity Work / life balance and remote-first culture Vacation and healthcare benefits adapted to locale (Europe / US) as applicable Future planning options (pension or 401(k) depending on location) Disability and life insurance coverage Opportunities for professional growth, subsidies for courses, books, events, or coaching Regular hackathons and a collaborative team environment Giving back through support for open source projects Transparency about company direction and ambitious, kind culture Country-specific details provided in your contract Location Remote-first across Europe; some roles in the US may be hybrid.
