Be a part of the EDC Team!Participates in the formulation of innovations and in research and technology upgrade strategies, policies and objectives. Plans, organizes, controls and coordinates innovations and research and technology update projects and activities based on the approved roadmap.Conceptualizes new products and services that promote quality and profitability based on identified client needs, and develops a business case for such products and services. Manages and monitors projects that support innovation programs. Implements approved research and technology upgrade projects that promote scientific innovations and/or new products and services.Conducts continuous research on specialized and emerging technologies and trends in the geothermal industry, and examines the practicability of applications of these innovations to resource operations.Collaborates with internal and external consultants to ensure that appropriate technologies are identified, developed and applied to solving critical problems. Recommends 3rd party service provider, as needed, in accordance to Corporate policies on engagement of external services. Develops Terms of Reference for (TOR) for 3rd party service providers that ensure conformance of service to the company’s requirements. Recommends and implements quality standards relevant to research and development, including but not limited to, operating procedures, project/program approval criteria, etc. Provides inputs to the QA/QC Operations Manual; Participates in the diagnosis/technical analysis of operational needs and concerns of clients to enable provision of appropriate technical solution. Provides technical assistance in client concern resolution and takes corrective action to avoid recurrence of such concerns. Maintains data security and integrity of the Department’s data and information management system. Assists in the creation, maintenance and update of the Department’s information dashboard; Implements procedures that support the policies on the safekeeping, upload, retrieval, distribution and retention of documents relevant to the Department’s operations. Assists in the consolidation of technical information that may be useful for the operations of Subsurface-GR and the production fields of FOM. Participates/collaborates in research and development studies to improve work processes. Assists in the development and amendment of systems, processes and procedures within Team Science to increase operational efficiency. Develops and conducts appropriate training for technical staff within and outside ISS. Plans, acquires and manages utilization of resources related to projects. Recommends the acquisition, transfer and movement of fixed assets and the disposal of materials and equipment according to PMD guidelines. Represents the Department in interactions with SBU managers, internal and external experts, external consultants and service providers as needed, particularly in areas concerning research and technology upgrade. Implements an efficient reporting system to ensure timely release of complete and accurate information. Participates in routine and technical meetings, as required, to monitor progress of programs, discuss current technical issues and concerns, and keep abreast of latest developments relative to the operations of both Subsurface and the production fields of FOM.Conducts inspection trips to various business units to ensure proper coordination and effective implementation of projects. Builds a network of technical experts, both internal and external, such as but not limited to research and technical groups of potential and existing partners, technical representatives of suppliers, etc. Produces technical papers for technical publication. Provides technical information for use in marketing handouts for specific projects. Protects the interest of the company by assuring that safe workplace is provided to all workers. Identifies and controls all hazards and risks. Be well-versed, complies and enforces the EDC Safety Rules as well as the General Safety Guidelines of EDC. Planning and Collaboration: Establishes general safety. Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure all safety requirements are met prior to commencement of work. Setting to work: Ensures Competent Persons (CP) are Authorized for the job/work. Verifies that the hazard controls are in place prior to work authorization. Ensures CP’s understanding of the established General Safety and verifies that the same is cascaded to the working party. Execution and Safety Compliance: Oversees the work activities of the Competent Persons, ensuring all activities are conducted safely. Ensures that established safe method of work remains effective and new hazards are managed. Competency - Ensures continuous learning and professional development and maintains personal competence and authorization. Safety Management:Ensures all safety protocols are strictly followed to protect personnel from general danger or hazard. Competency Development: Ensures personal competence and authorization are continuously maintained and promotes continuous learning among personnel, ensuring they are competent and knowledgeable about safety procedures. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of all Safety Documents in accordance to the Company's Document and Record Management Procedure.
