In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and optimizing tax compliance strategies. You will contribute to robust tax controls and collaborate across functions with high technical acumen. What You Will Be Doing Tax audit and compliance: Manage internal and external tax audits per local and international legal requirements to minimize FedEx's financial exposure, including management of subsequent litigation processes. For EMEA/assigned countries, ensure VAT and corporate income tax compliance is fulfilled timely and in full compliance with local regulations. Includes direct and/or indirect taxes. Tax Controls: Review and supervise local GAAP reporting, implement improvements; define, develop and implement procedures and controls that secure tax processes; initiate and support projects related to international corporate tax matters; ensure consistent local implementation. Operate autonomously with high expertise on direct/indirect taxes, audits, major projects, process improvements, multi-country/multi-entity. Communication: Establish and maintain contacts with peers within the FedEx network and external consultants/bodies; manage relationships with tax authorities and industry associations.
