Quality Manager (Air Cargo)

Overview Quality Manager (Air Cargo) at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company. The role is to lead the quality assurance and control department of MSC Air Cargo, overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS), industry certifications such as IATA CEIV, the claims process, and the integrity of all quality-related documentation. The position will be located in Geneva (Switzerland) or Malpensa (Italy) and reports to the Head of Product, Quality and Transformation. Responsibilities QMS Leadership: Oversee the organization's Quality Management System to ensure it is current, effective, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Quality Assurance Oversight: Develop and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures so that all products and services consistently meet established standards of quality. Quality Control Management: Lead the quality control team to identify and resolve defects before reaching the customer, maintaining high customer satisfaction. CAPA Management: Oversee investigations for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and approve CAPA reports containing non-conformances. Claims Management: Oversee processing and resolution of customer quality-related claims, ensuring responsive and efficient handling. Documentation Oversight: Ensure proper management and updating of all quality-related documentation, including manuals, guidelines, and records. Audit Program Management: Direct the planning and execution of internal and external audits, verify the effectiveness of quality processes, and implement corrective actions as needed. Reporting and Communication: Maintain accurate records of quality metrics, audits, claims, and CAPA activities; report findings and trends to top management and relevant stakeholders. Required Qualifications Extensive experience (10 years) in a quality leadership role within the air cargo industry. In-depth knowledge of quality systems, standards (such as ISO 9001), and quality-related aspects. Proven track record of managing a comprehensive quality program, including quality assurance, quality control, and CAPA processes. Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a high-performing team. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization. English mandatory; French and/or Italian is a plus. Dynamic, proactive, and comfortable working in an ever-changing startup environment. Contract Details Based in Geneva or Malpensa (Italy). Full-time, Permanent contract. Starting ASAP.
