Ocean Import Operator

As an Ocean Import Operator, you are responsible for coordinating and optimising the import process via ocean freight. You ensure goods are imported on time, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. Description Coordinate the end-to-end ocean freight import process, from shipment planning to final delivery. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including customs clearance and documentation. Manage relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and other logistics partners. Track and monitor shipments, proactively addressing any delays or issues. Optimise import processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and compliance documentation. Collaborate with internal teams, such as procurement and warehouse operations, to align shipping schedules with business needs. Stay updated on industry trends, shipping rates, and regulatory changes. Profile Proficiency in English, both spoken and written; Knowledge of logistical processes related to road and ocean transport; The ability to obtain a VGB - 8 years in the EU; Willingness to grow with the company.
