Job Title: Gatehouse Operative Location: Studley Hours: Monday - Friday Shift 1: 06:00 - 12:00 Shift 2: 12:00 - 18:00 Pay Rate: £12.50 - £13.00 per hour Company Overview We are a well-established, family-run haulage company with over 60 years of history and a strong reputation for reliability and service. Due to continued growth, we are seeking two reliable Gatehouse Operatives to join our team in Studley. These roles are key to ensuring the smooth running of our busy site and supporting the safe and efficient flow of vehicles in and out of our premises. Key Responsibilities Control and monitor all vehicle movements entering and leaving the site Welcome and direct drivers and visitors, ensuring correct sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed Conduct security checks on vehicles and paperwork as required Maintain accurate records of vehicle arrivals and departures Communicate effectively with drivers, colleagues, and site management Monitor CCTV and gatehouse systems to maintain site security Report any incidents, breaches, or concerns promptly Assist with general gatehouse duties, ensuring a professional and safe environment Candidate Requirements Previous experience in a gatehouse, security, or transport/logistics environment preferred but not essential Strong communication skills and professional telephone manner Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with situations assertively Good attention to detail and record-keeping skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Basic IT skills for logging information and completing records Benefits Competitive hourly pay (£12.50-£13.00) Consistent daytime hours - Monday to Friday, no weekends Supportive, family-run working environment On-site parking Full training provided ENG1
