The Job Youll Do; As a skilled and dynamic Design Technician you will bridge the design intent with the manufacturability and execution of the solution. Complete basic CAD tasks and modifications to existing designs Understand manufacturing constraints and assist with determining manufacturing feasibility Manage your assigned workload with multiple projects running concurrently Liaise with design engineers to ensure the information produced represents engineering design and intent. Participate in design reviews, site meetings, and technical discussions to gain experience Provide support to sales and estimation roles Produce general arrangement drawings, section details, and connection designs Utilize AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla Structures, TEDDS, and Microsoft 365 for task execution (or equivalents of these packages). Contribute to standardization efforts About You; HNC or above in a related subject such as design, engineering, manufacturing, etc. (or equivalent experience) Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Inventor, Tekla Structures, SolidWorks (or equivalent) Understanding of design, engineering and manufacturing processes Strong numerical and analytical skills Excellent problem-solving abilities Attention to detail Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, capable of handling concurrent projects. Effective communication skills, with the ability to present information to non-technical stakeholders
