Network Security Engineer Zscaler (ZPA/ZIA) Location: London, UK (Hybrid 1 day onsite per week) Type: Contract (6 months) | Day Rate: £550 Inside IR35 (Negotiable) Start Date: ASAP About the Role Our client, a leading global organization, is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with deep hands-on expertise in Zscaler ZPA and ZIA to join a global enterprise security transformation programme. The role will focus on designing, deploying, and managing secure cloud and on-premises access solutions, ensuring robust security posture and compliance across a large-scale hybrid environment. This is a high-impact technical role where you will work across infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to implement Zero Trust principles , optimise Zscaler integrations, and enhance resilience of enterprise networks. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage Zscaler ZPA & ZIA solutions across enterprise networks. Integrate Zscaler with IdPs, SIEM, and endpoint security platforms . Monitor and optimise policies, application segments, and access control rules . Troubleshoot issues across secure access, DNS filtering, SSL inspection, VPNs, and firewalls . Collaborate with IT, cloud, and compliance teams to ensure secure and compliant access . Maintain detailed documentation of Zscaler configurations, policies, and procedures. Support design of On-Prem & Cloud security architecture aligned with Zero Trust. Use Linux (scripts, key updates, cron jobs, troubleshooting) for operational support. Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and Zscaler updates . Required Skills & Experience 8 years in network security roles, with a strong background in secure infrastructure design and operations. 2 years hands-on experience with Zscaler ZPA and ZIA in large-scale environments. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, proxies , and routing protocols (OSPF/BGP). Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Zero Trust architectures . Familiarity with IAM and SAML/SSO integrations . Proficiency with network/security monitoring tools (Wireshark, Splunk, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills .
