Job Description

Harkaye Core Talent is supporting a leading international law firm in hiring a highly experienced Head of Real Estate Planning to oversee the firm's global real estate and workplace services. This pivotal role ensures that office spaces across multiple jurisdictions are optimised for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality, while aligning with the firm's strategic growth and sustainability goals. The successful candidate will bring expertise in lease management, building design, project management, negotiation, and workplace optimisation, providing strategic oversight to create outstanding working environments across the firm's global offices. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive global premises strategy with a focus on lease negotiations, cost measurement, and space optimisation. Lead design and implementation of agile workplace environments that support flexible working and employee wellbeing. Coordinate real estate projects across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring consistency and high standards. Administer and oversee all leasing agreements and proactively manage renewals and negotiations. Lead building design and fit-out projects, collaborating with architects and designers to create functional, sustainable workspaces. Direct global real estate improvement projects, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards. Negotiate lease agreements, vendor contracts, and service agreements to secure best terms and build strong supplier relationships. Evaluate and optimise workspace layouts using data analytics to drive productivity and employee satisfaction. Attributes and Skills Required Minimum 7 years’ experience in real estate management, ideally within a professional services or legal environment. Proven expertise in lease administration, project management, negotiation, and workplace strategy. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and make data-driven decisions. Experience in supplier negotiation, procurement, and ongoing contract management. Creative problem-solving skills with the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant professional qualification preferred. Demonstrated success in global real estate strategy and operations.
