Job Title: Data Specialist Data Lineage Location: Wokingham (Hybrid 3 days onsite per week) Contract Type: 6-Month Contract (with potential extension) Day Rate: £470 (Inside IR35) About the Role We are looking for an experienced Data Specialist (Data Lineage) to support data governance and provenance initiatives within a large-scale programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for mapping, documenting, and maintaining data flows across multiple systems, enabling greater transparency, compliance, and data quality across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Map and document data flows and transformations across complex systems. Develop and enforce governance policies and standards relating to data lineage. Provide lineage evidence to support compliance and audit requirements. Collaborate with IT teams, data owners, and business analysts to ensure accurate lineage documentation. Train and guide stakeholders in accessing and understanding lineage information. Use metadata and lineage tools for discovery, analysis, and visualisation where appropriate. About You You will bring strong technical and governance expertise in data lineage, backed by stakeholder engagement and analytical skills. Essential experience includes: 5 years hands-on experience in data lineage. Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and practices. Proven ability to manage and engage stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as in collaborative, cross-functional teams. Desirable skills: Certifications such as DAMA CDMP or Collibra Ranger. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field. Experience with modern data management and metadata tools.
