About the Opportunity: We’re excited to present a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a long-term contract supporting a prestigious client based in Cumbria . What You’ll Be Doing: As a Quantity Surveyor , you'll be instrumental in supporting the financial and commercial performance of the project. Your responsibilities will include: Cost Management : Assist in the preparation and ongoing management of project cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts. Commercial Administration : Support general commercial functions including documentation, applications for payment, and compensation event tracking. Subcontractor Support : Help assess and process subcontractor applications and maintain strong working relationships. Collaboration : Liaise effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure project delivery is well-coordinated and aligned. Support Senior QS : Work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to maintain project financials, time sheet entry, and reporting. What You’ll Need: To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a strong blend of technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and collaborative spirit, including: Communication Excellence : Confident, clear communicator, able to coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders. Organisation & Time Management : Strong ability to manage competing priorities and maintain commercial control. Motivation & Drive : A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a commitment to high-quality work. Analytical Thinking : Strong numerical and analytical skills to support effective cost management. Relevant Experience : Previous experience in a commercial landscape or commercial administration (preferred). Qualifications : A degree in Quantity Surveying is desirable but not essential.
