Job Description

We are working with a global consumer focussed business in their search for a commercially astute and internationally experienced Senior Legal Counsel to support the transformation of the global legal function. Reporting to the General Counsel, this role will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across the business, providing pragmatic and business-focused legal advice while helping to drive growth and ensure compliance across global operations. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment where legal expertise, commercial judgment, and strong stakeholder management skills will have a direct impact on the company’s success. Key Responsibilities Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters across multiple jurisdictions. Support the transformation of the legal function by contributing to the development of improved systems, processes, and digital tools. Partner with leadership teams and business functions (operations, supply chain, sales, marketing) to enable strategic objectives and manage legal risks. Advise on complex commercial contracts, regulatory frameworks, and significant projects/transactions. Ensure governance and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Proactively identify legal and compliance risks and propose pragmatic, business-oriented solutions. Build effective relationships with external stakeholders including regulators, external counsel, and industry bodies. Candidate Profile Qualified lawyer with 8–12 years PQE gained from a top tier law firm. Inhouse experience gained in a consumer focussed business a must. Strong track record of advising on commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters. Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to balance legal risk with business priorities. Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and managing cross-border matters. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to build trust and influence at all levels of the business. Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach with a passion for enabling business growth. Experience supporting transformation or change initiatives within a legal or corporate environment is an advantage.
