Job Title: SAP ABAP Consultant Work Location: Crewe, UK Work Model: Office presence required 2 3 days per week Job Type: Contract Required Years of Experience: 7 years Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with a strong understanding of the end-to-end SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will manage requirements, assess incoming requests for change requests (CRs) and updates, and help ensure only necessary customizations are implemented. This role is critical in reducing unnecessary IT workload and maintaining a streamlined SAP environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage and assess incoming requests for SAP change requests and updates, qualifying or rejecting them as appropriate. Maintain a clear track of necessary versus avoidable customizations to reduce unnecessary IT workload. Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and provide effective SAP ABAP solutions. Support the end-to-end SAP landscape, ensuring system integrity and optimal performance. Apply strong analytical and decision-making skills to evaluate business needs and technical feasibility. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide updates on request status. Skills & Experience Required: Minimum 7 years of hands-on SAP ABAP experience. Strong understanding of the end-to-end SAP landscape and integration points. Proven ability to manage, qualify, and prioritize change requests and system updates. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and decision-making skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred). Relevant SAP certifications are a plus.
