Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Contract – £50-55 per hour (Outisde IR35) Location: Scotland (On-site) We're hiring on behalf of a client looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. The role focuses on the design and development of electro-mechanical products used in automated systems, including intricate internal mechanisms for an electronic machine. Key Responsibilities: • Design new components and support existing product updates • Design intricate internal mechanisms for an electronic machine • Work with operations, suppliers, and other teams • Ensure design quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness • Run design reviews, testing, and validation • Manage documentation and change control processes What We're Looking For: • 5 years in mechanical design, ideally in electromechanical systems • Experience designing intricate internal mechanisms for complex machines • Strong CAD skills (ProE/Creo or Solidworks) • Knowledge of drive systems, mechanisms, and prototyping • Experience with stress/tolerance analysis • Good communicator, able to manage multiple projects
