Job Description
Experienced Contracts Advisor required for an ongoing contract/agency role, working on behalf of our client, a leading oil, gas & energy engineering contractor, based at their UK head office in London working on a new carbon capture pipeline project based in the North Sea. Proven experience negotiating and executing offshore construction contracts is essential for this role. The Senior Contracts Advisor will be involved in negotiating with external parties and managing comprehensive contract activities, including analysis, drafting, and qualification. You will also support internal teams in tendering and project execution while coordinating with key corporate departments to ensure alignment and efficiency, reporting directly to the Head of Contract Management. The Role: Assist the business in contract negotiations and successful project delivery Contribute to the success of commercial proposals with a distribution of risks and based on terms acceptable to the Company. Support the completion of projects within time and budget; contribute to the mitigation of risks and the maximization of profits resulting from the execution of projects. Act not only as a functional expert but also and above all as trusted advisor and business partner across the Company. Ensure standard contracting rules are adequately applied to all contracts, both with customers and suppliers/subcontractors, always in consideration of the perceived level of risks that each of them involves. Experience and Qualifications: Proven experience on similar role. Law degree or similar. Proficiency in professional English writing. Strong legal expertise, including LOGIC, FIDIC, Incoterms, Norwegian Law (preferred), and both common and civil law systems with a focus on contract law and partnership agreements. Good knowledge of business areas such as EPC contracts, platform components, Offshore plants and subsea fields installation. Meticulous in contract preparation and management, ensuring legal compliance. Strategic thinker with the ability to assess risks, make informed decisions, and align actions with short- and long-term business goals while adapting to market trends and organizational needs. Job Details: Start date: ASAP Duration: 12 months Full time contract role - outside IR35 Location: SW London Working hours: 5 days per week - 2 days remote working may be possible.
