Job Title: Behavioural Mentor Location: Greenwich, London Contract Type: Full-time / Term-time only Start Date: ASAP About the Role: We are looking for a passionate and resilient Behavioural Mentor to join a supportive school in Greenwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by supporting students with behavioural, social, and emotional needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and school life. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring to pupils with behavioural and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Support pupils in managing their emotions, behaviour, and interactions. Implement behaviour support strategies and interventions under the guidance of the SENCO and senior leadership team. Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage resilience, self-esteem, and engagement. Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create consistent support plans. Assist with classroom support, de-escalation, and behaviour management where required. Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour, ideally within an educational setting. Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills. Empathy, patience, and a positive, resilient attitude. Ability to build trust and rapport with young people and staff. A genuine passion for supporting the development and wellbeing of pupils.
