Building Services Compliance Officer

Ref: RQ1596609 Location: Shropshire (SY3) Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm (37hrs per week) Pay: £27.00-£30.00ph paid weekly via umbrella Duration: Ongoing Contract Long Term/Temp to Perm Duties To ensure the highest standards of electrical compliance and safety within the council, delivering high-quality, cost-effective services that meet regulatory requirements and enhance customer satisfaction. Responsible for reviewing service report documentation, addressing the findings within those reports, and ensuring that compliance for your designated areas is consistently maintained across the estate. This includes making informed decisions on whether to act on recommendations based on the nature of identified issues and the available budget. Monitoring contractor performance and taking corrective action as required to ensure compliance of the estate and value for money. Supporting the creation of a Planned Maintenance / Asset Replacement Programme based upon the intelligence contained within service report information Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, audits, and inspections. Ensure regular inspections and testing of all plant, systems and equipment. Ensuring that works carried out by maintenance service contractors complies with standards required by servicing specifications. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Prepare detailed reports on compliance status and any issues identified.
