Capex Recruitment are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm in the Newry area on the appointment of a Buyer. Working closely with the Senior Stakeholders of the business you will be fully responsible for the sourcing and procurement of a range of mechanical & electrical components to support engineering and maintenance projects. Whats in it for you: Starting salary up to £40,000 Annual bonus Private healthcare Life insurance Responsibilities in your new role: Source new suppliers as well as working closely with an existing portfolio of key suppliers Develop relationships with key suppliers negotiating best price and lead times whilst continually monitoring performance Work with a continuous improvement mindset, implementing various cost saving and process improvement projects Frequently liaise with the engineering team to ensure the correct materials are on site, on time to me production demands Work closely with the sales team with the preparation of bids & tenders Issue purchase orders and approve supplier invoices Maintain stock levels Oversee hire of equipment for various projects What you will need to succeed: A minimum of 3 years experience working in a procurement role within a fast paced, manufacturing environment Proficiency with MRP/ERP as well as all Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel Desirable: Experience with sourcing and buying Mechanical & Electrical parts and components For a confidential conversation on how Capex Recruitment can support you with your next move, reach out to Chris our Supply Chain specialist today.
