Job Description

USGP has an opportunity for a Full Time RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST to provide services to our military service members, their families, and veterans within WALTER REED NCR, MD. Benefits: Competitive Pay – $43.00 Health and Welfare Stipend Benefits to include Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance and 401K Paid Time Off and Sick Time available Schedule: M-F 0730-1530 – 40 a week (mainly working in the OR) Will need to work rotating holidays as well Qualifications: Degree/Education : Graduate of an accredited X-Ray Technologist Training program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiological Education (JCERT) Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Valid unrestricted medical license in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the Must have an active BLS through American Heart Association or military program Experience: Have a minimum of two-year continuous hospital experience within the last two years, as an X-Ray Technologist Licensure/Registration: A current registration as a Radiologic Technologist or Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Job Duties: To include but not limited to: Shall be able to read, write, speak, and understand English clearly and effectively enough to effectively to communicate with all patients and other health care Shall be knowledgeable of equipment and supply terminology and skill sufficient to identify and use necessary equipment and supplies properly and to communicate proper use with nurses, medical staff, patients, and family Shall be sufficiently skilled to teach patients proper self-care and to motivate patients and family members to continue the procedures for promoting rapid Shall be knowledgeable and possess skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the The Contract X-Ray Technologist shall demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the appropriate patient population served: Infants, Children, Adolescent, Adults, and Geriatric (>65).
