Travel Nurse RN - PCU - $2,157 per week in Prescott, AZ

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: MS/Tele/PCU Float Pool Duration: Contract Shift: 12H Days EOW, Days, First to Float Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - At least 1 year of experience in a PCU setting - Ability to titrate various drips, including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin. - Comfort in managing post-procedural patients, particularly after cardiac procedures. Description: This position requires a clinician to take and pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to contract signing. If a score of 80% is not achieved, the clinician will be designated for a 6-month Do Not Use status. Candidates must not be currently employed or have been employed in any related facilities within the last year. The float pool covers multiple nursing units, including MedSurg, Tele, and PCU. In the stepdown unit, staff will manage a typical average census of 20 patients, with ratios as follows: 1:4 in PCU and 1:5-6 in MedSurg/Tele. Patient demographics may include geriatric and orthopedic patients, primarily dealing with post-operative care. Charge nurses will not take assignments, and nurse aides will be utilized to assist with patient care. Monitoring technology will be available on-site, and nurses must be proficient in reading strips. Schedulers will make the schedule, which is published six weeks in advance for four-week blocks, requiring flexibility from staff. Weekend work will be required every other week, and holiday rotations will include travelers. Nurses will receive shift assignments through text message notifications two hours before the start of their shift. Professional scrubs are expected.
