Pay Information $3,157 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, Advanced AWHONN Must-Have: Certification in COVID Vaccine Description: Unit: Family Birth Center Number of beds: 3 Rooms Could cross over to MedSurg if full. Certifications required: BLS, NRP, ACLS, Advanced AWHONN. Minimum of 2 years of experience required. Ratios: 1 to 1 or 1 to 4. EMR system used: Cerner. Charge Nurse position available. No Nurse Aides present. Holidays will be worked in permanent staff rotation. Scrub color is Ceil Blue (Hospital issued). Telemetry is not available. Ventilators are not present. IV Team is not available. Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7. Pharmacy services are not 24/7. Floating will primarily assist in MedSurg for tasking. Floor-specific orientation includes at least 2 days per unit that staff will float to, based on experience and comfort level. Common diagnoses/types of patients include those in Labor & Delivery. Additional notes: Approximately 150-175 births per year. Could be the only Labor & Delivery nurse on site, with a second Labor & Delivery nurse typically on call. During c-sections, the nurse will be expected to take care of the baby with assistance from Respiratory Therapy and anesthesia. Patients 36 weeks and under are usually transferred to higher-level care facilities. Cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, and 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks. Charting system used is Cerner. BSN is not required. Trauma Level: Care Setting is Acute. Division: Nursing. Shift Notes: 12 Hour Days, Every Other Week, First to Float.
