Respiratory care: trach management, oxygen delivery (nasal cannula, masks, portable O2, HFNC, CPAP/BIPAP), chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac), ABG interpretation, and non-invasive support. GI care: feeding tube management. Medication skills: PCA, procedural sedation administration, heparin protocols, and managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration). Cardiovascular care: post MI, cardiac caths & angiograms, dysrhythmia management & interpretation, telemetry on the unit monitoring. Additional competencies: wound care/wound vac, isolation precautions, renal failure, pre/post hemodialysis, and rapid response team use.Floating: While Prisma Health prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit, agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed.
