Travel Nurse RN - ICU/Critical Care - $3,004 per week in Rapid City, SD

Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience preferred. License: Registered Nurse (RN) - state board of nursing. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: - Epic experience - Experience with complex ICU patients, including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma. - Comfortable working a 48-hour work week contract. - Experience with IV medications, hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, and telemetry. - Strong critical thinking and assessment skills. Description: Work in a mixed ICU unit with up to 39 beds. You will care for complex ICU patients with various diagnoses, including ARDS, heart attack, stroke, COVID-19, and trauma. Cardiac experience is preferred but not required. Patient ratios are typically 1:1, 1:2, or occasionally 1:3, depending on acuity. Support staff includes 1-2 nurse aides per unit and a charge nurse overseeing the ICU staff. All intensivist physicians are present during day shifts, with additional support available at night. Floating to other adult floors may occur but is uncommon unless overstaffed. You should be prepared for weekend rotations, with holiday time off not typically available. Please be ready to discuss a time when you exceeded a leader’s expectations during the interview. Scrub color required is navy.
