Mechanical Field Service Engineer Aero/Heavy Duty Gas Turbine Join to apply for the Mechanical Field Service Engineer Aero/Heavy Duty Gas Turbine role at Baker Hughes Get on-site field service support for Aero/Heavy Duty Gas Turbine products and play a key role in maintaining safety, compliance and quality while delivering technical solutions to customers. Responsibilities Providing technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality. Overseeing, overhaul, troubleshooting and commissioning of Aero/Heavy Duty Gas Turbines products at customer sites. Leading customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and advise on technical solutions. Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards. Qualifications Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment. Experience in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar). Knowledge of Aero/Heavy Duty Gas Turbines. Strong customer service orientation with experience guiding customers through decisions. Ability to communicate complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding. Health, Safety and Environmental compliance awareness and risk awareness. Motivated self-starter who can make key decisions and innovate solutions. Excellent command of verbal and written English. EU Passport or European Work permit. Role requires extensive travel; willingness to travel significantly (not less than 70%), including offshore, with no geographical restriction. Work approach We recognize that everyone is different and offer flexible working patterns. In this role, you will travel to and work on customer sites in line with customer requirements. The duration of work at site and hours at the site will be in line with customer requirements, with in-between time adhering to Baker Hughes working time guidelines and fatigue management provisions.
