Overview Software Engineering Manager role at TELUS Digital Brazil. This position is based in São Paulo or Porto Alegre with hybrid work options. Location and Flexibility This is a hybrid role. Work in São Paulo (2 times/week or 8 days/month) or Porto Alegre (3 times/week or 12 days/month). The Opportunity As an Engineering Manager at TELUS Digital, you’ll lead a highly skilled engineering team building digital products for our clients. You’ll guide the team and clients to use cutting-edge techniques for software delivery and shape the solutions we create. Champion modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, Agile methods, pairing, mobbing, and shift-left testing. Own the delivery of complete digital products that are durable, secure, scalable, and well-tested. Simplify and communicate complex problems across technology, business processes, user experience, and development tasks. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to align on goals and outcomes. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional engineering experience building digital products, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience with mobile (Android, iOS, or React Native) and/or web (React, Next, Angular, Vue; Node, .NET, Java) technologies. Experience managing a software engineering team and growing team members through goal-setting, coaching, and feedback. Familiarity with CI/CD, Agile techniques, pairing, mobbing, and shift-left testing. Track record delivering durable, secure, scalable, and well-tested software. Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Fluent English and Portuguese (written, verbal, and presentation). This role is open to applicants in São Paulo or Porto Alegre. Bonus Points Experience as a Project or Product Manager and Scrum Master in a technology consultancy or agency. Guided clients to adopt modern engineering practices or agile delivery. Certifications such as CSM, CSPO, PMP, SA, SPC, etc. Experience with account planning and growth activities.
