HGV Technician

Position : HGV Technician Employment Type : Full Time 50 hours, Monday to Friday, plus Saturdays (2 in 4) Salary : £40,000 to £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience Location: B78 2BP Haulmasters transport building materials and equipment for specialist construction projects. They operate a fleet of vehicles specifically designed for the safe transport of construction equipment, building materials and event work, ensuring the correct vehicle is used for each load. Requirements: A fully trained HGV trailer fitter / HGV technician to join their existing team in their workshops. The ideal candidate will: Be a team player Work effectively to deadlines Use their own initiative Hold a Class 1 or 2 license (preferred) Possess a natural aptitude for mechanical diagnosis and repair Have thorough knowledge of vehicle electrical systems Be skilled in all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing Duties involve: Carrying out inspections, maintenance, and repair work Preparing and presenting vehicles for VOSA tests Conducting 6-weekly inspections and fault repairs Performing preventative maintenance Diagnosing faults Replacing gearboxes and clutches Rectifying brake issues (ABS/EBS) Undertaking trailer work Completing all associated paperwork, reporting, and administrative tasks Providing own tools Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Work Location: In person
