Senior Engineer with Security Clearance

*1099s are welcomed to apply. Position is funded. THIS POSITION IS ONSITE AT CUSTOMER SITE. Responsibilities: The candidate will function as a subject matter expert (SME) in installing, configuring, and testing Voice over IP network equipment at the customer site. • Receive and inspect network equipment • Install network equipment at the customer site • Configure network routing and voice trunks • Migrate legacy analog phones to packet gateway • Test voice signaling and service quality EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (YEARS): • 10 years of professional experience • 5 years of voice over IP (VoIP) engineering experience configuring, testing, designing, implementing, or troubleshooting telecommunication networks EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (SKILLS): • WAN routing • Legacy analog to packet voice transition • Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) signaling and trunks • Installing, configuring, and testing VoIP equipment including: o Cisco VoIP Unified Communications System (UCS) o Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)/ Call Manager o Cisco routers and switches (WAN and LAN) o Cisco Voice Gateways (analog to packet voice) POSITION EXPECTATIONS: • Ability to work alone with no or little assistance to complete equipment testing. • Ability to work in a group to achieve the common goal to resolve complex network issues. • Ability to work directly with the prime contractor project team INTERPERSONAL/COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS REQUIRED: • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to collaborate test plans and reports with Government and equipment vendors. • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft office suite to include Word, Excel, and Visio technical drawing program
