Job Title: EHS Coordinator Location: Everett, WA Type: 12-month Contract Compensation: $46 Remember to check your CV before applying Also, ensure you read through all the requirements related to this role. - $60 hourly Contractor Work Model: Onsite We are seeking a dedicated EHS Coordinator for a long-term contract opporunity. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in promoting workplace safety and ensuring the reliability of products. Your expertise in managing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs), and Process Hazard Assessments (PHAs) will be invaluable in identifying potential hazards, assessing associated risks, and implementing effective measures to prevent accidents and failures. Key Responsibilities: Lead and facilitate JHA sessions to systematically identify and analyze potential hazards associated with specific job tasks. Spearhead FMEA sessions to evaluate potential equipment failures and their impacts on product quality and process efficiency. Develop and implement proactive hazard control measures in accordance with the hierarchy of controls: elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure thorough documentation and timely reviews of JHAs and FMEAs, making updates as necessary to reflect changes in processes or regulations. Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive corrective actions and foster continuous improvement initiatives. Provide training and mentorship to employees on risk management techniques, focusing on JHA and FMEA methodologies. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions to support compliance and enhance workplace safety culture. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field. 4-5 years of hands-on experience developing and implementing JHAs and FMEAs. Proven experience with process improvement methods, such as Lean or Six Sigma; relevant certifications are a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. 5-10 years of experience in occupational safety or environmental science, preferably in a laboratory, manufacturing, or industrial environment. Experience working within large, complex organizations is advantageous. Effective communication skills, with an ability to convey technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Work Environment & Conditions: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and perform fine motor tasks. Minimal physical exertion required, with the capability to safely lift up to 25 pounds. Prolonged work requiring visual and auditory focus in a standard office and/or manufacturing environment for over 8 hours a day.
