This role focuses on weekend night shifts and supports both inpatient and outpatient imaging with a focus on oncology cases. The average daily census is 35-40 cases per day. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Electronic documentation is completed using EPIC. Required skills include experience in imaging procedures such as Fusion (non-brain), Gradient Echo Imaging, and Image Post-Processing (ADC mapping, subtraction). Applicants should have knowledge of various imaging techniques, including T1 & T2 Weighted Imaging, Spine Imaging (Cervical, Lumbar, Thoracic), and Spectroscopy. Candidates must possess the ability to prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs. The position also involves working with specialized equipment. Candidates must be willing to work weekends and maintain a 40-hour work week. Knowledge of remediating procedures is preferred, especially those concerning oncology and trauma. References from previous supervisors or managers are required as part of the application process. This role does not involve cardiac imaging. The MRI Tech is essential in contributing to efficient patient care through effective imaging practices. All candidates should be prepared for the fingerprinting process upon signing the contract, which is part of the compliance requirements.
