Travel Surg Tech - $2,400 to $2,480 per week in Brooklyn, NY

Assist with Cesarean Sections and Surgical Procedures Prepare and maintain the sterile field during C-sections and other obstetric surgeries, pass instruments to the surgeon, and assist in ensuring a smooth and safe delivery. Preoperative Setup and Equipment Preparation Set up the operating room with appropriate surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment specific to labor and delivery procedures, ensuring everything is sterile and functional. Support During Labor and Delivery Collaborate with nurses and obstetricians by providing necessary instruments and supplies during vaginal deliveries, and assist with emergency interventions when needed. Instrument and Specimen Handling Accurately count and track surgical instruments and sponges before, during, and after procedures, and properly handle and label specimens such as placenta or cord blood for lab processing. Postoperative and Room Turnover Duties Help apply dressings post-surgery, transport instruments for sterilization, and ensure the operating or delivery room is cleaned and restocked efficiently for the next patient.
