We are seeking an experienced European Production Manager to lead our state-of-the-art production unit in India, driving excellence across all departments to deliver world-class luxury products.
Role Overview
As the Production Manager – Luxury Interiors, you will oversee all operations of our India-based production unit, managing a diverse team of artists, embroiderers, architects, accountants, and support staff. Based in Kolkata, India, you will ensure seamless coordination across departments, uphold our brand’s high standards, and drive efficiency while fostering a culture of creativity and precision. This role requires a strategic leader with proven experience in luxury manufacturing, strong cross-functional management skills, and the ability to adapt to India’s dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Oversight: Manage end-to-end production processes for handmade wallpapers, textiles, and interior products, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional quality.
Team Leadership: Supervise and inspire a multidisciplinary team, including:
Artists: Guide creative teams in designing and executing bespoke patterns.
Embroiderers: Oversee artisanal embroidery processes, ensuring precision and consistency.
Architects: Collaborate on integrating designs into architectural projects.
Accountants: Coordinate with finance teams for budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality assurance protocols to maintain luxury standards for global clientele.
Operational Efficiency: Optimize workflows, manage supply chains, and streamline production schedules to meet international demand.
Strategic Planning: Develop production strategies to scale operations, introduce new designs, and enhance sustainability practices.
Cross-Department Coordination: Foster collaboration between creative, technical, and financial teams to align with brand vision.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to Indian labour laws, workplace safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Job Requirements
Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in production management, preferably in luxury interiors, textiles, furniture, or artisanal manufacturing. European experience in high-end brands is highly desirable.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing diverse teams (artists, craftsmen, architects, accountants) in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of luxury production processes (e.g., handcrafted wallpapers, embroidery, or bespoke design). Familiarity with supply chain management and ERP systems is a plus.
Cultural Adaptability: Experience working in or with emerging markets, ideally Asia or India, with an understanding of cross-cultural dynamics.
Language: Fluency in English; proficiency in another European language (e.g., German, French, Italian) is advantageous. Basic Hindi or local language skills are a plus but not required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Design, Business, or related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
