Job Description
Job title: Speech Pathologist Working hours: Full time Salary offer: Competitive salary offer PD benefits Location: Geebung About the company: Our client is a paediatric Speech Pathology practice with a special focus on the early intervention and early primary years, based in Geebung in Brisbane's inner north. They are passionate about the little darlings we support, and about holistic and collaborative services, engaging strongly with other providers in the local community. The director formed the concept of the ‘Nurture Nest’, because they wanted to create a workplace where both the clients they support and the staff feel safe, nurtured and supported when they are with them. They dedicate our time and energy to high-quality intervention services; building capacity within families; and building resilience and confidence in the children they see. Their clinic is fully resourced with beautiful, high-quality books, toys and games. They also have an array of assessments, text books, AAC resources and all the other goodies you might need to carry out your daily practice. There are 5 rooms, including; a large space for group programs and those littlies that need room to move for regulation; a kitchenette and dining table for mealtime work; an office-pod where we all work together to allow for collaboration; a lovely reception area for families and free parking. About the role: As a member of their clinical team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality therapy and support services. Your responsibilities will span assessment, therapy, reporting, and collaborative consultation. The role requires a proactive and reflective practitioner who is committed to ongoing professional development and effective client outcomes. Key responsinilities includes: Client Assessment & Reporting Conduct comprehensive assessments and review assessments Prepare detailed case notes and diagnostic support reports Complete funding request and NDIS review reports Therapy Delivery Provide individual, dyad, and group therapy (e.g., school readiness, social skills, SOS approach) Plan and facilitate group therapy sessions Deliver therapy for a range of communication and developmental difficulties Specialised Interventions Conduct AAC trials, prescriptions, and implementation Perform mealtime assessments and therapy (note: training will be provided if required prior to commencement in this area) Collaboration & Consultation Attend and contribute to consultative meetings in community settings Provide clinical supervision, including critical reflection and case-based discussions Clinical Support & Resources Construct and develop therapy resources Engage in professional development to enhance service quality and clinical expertise Benefits: Competitive pay 12% superannuation Achievable billable target: 4 hrs/day $3000 PD allowance 4 paid PD leave days/year Weekly 1:1 clinical supervision with experienced Director Full-time remote admin support all tech provided Large desk space in collaborative clinic pod Beautiful, well-equipped clinical space for ages 0–12 Opportunities to co-facilitate group programs with SLPs/OTs Strong systems, templates, and processes for smooth workflow Termly “Team Reward Days” for self-care and recognition Bonus: Option for unpaid leave with high performance Standard leave entitlements: 4 weeks annual 10 sick days Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) Valid Blue Card CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain) Professional Indemnity & Public Liability Insurance ($2M per claim, for school visits) Medicare Provider Number application upon job acceptance Own car and driver’s license (travel within 25km radius; expenses tax-deductible) Skills & Attributes: Passion for working with children Experience in paediatrics (training in methods like Hanen, PROMPT, DIR Floortime, etc., is a plus) Commitment to a neurodiversity-affirming approach Strong computer literacy, attention to detail, and communication skills Empathy and ability to build meaningful connections with clients If you are interested, click APPLY NOW.
