AC Design Engineer

An established engineering company with over 30 years of expertise in electronic control systems for heavy machinery is seeking an AC Design Engineer . This is a key role combining AC powertrain system design with electrical panel development, supporting projects from concept to production. Key Responsibilities: Design and optimise AC powertrain systems, including motor control and integration. Perform simulations and analysis to improve system performance and efficiency. Design AC electrical panels, produce schematics, and specify components. Ensure designs meet safety and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, NEC). Collaborate across engineering, production, and supply chain teams. Provide support for service, training, and technical documentation. Requirements: Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. 3 years experience in AC powertrain or electrical panel design. Strong knowledge of AC machines and power electronics.
