Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $2,218 per week in Akron, OH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required prior to travel. License: Must have a valid Ohio license or a compact state license in hand. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. Must-Have: One reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required for submission. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Med/Surg Telemetry for a night shift position. The shift consists of three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Candidates must have a minimum of 18 months of recent permanent experience in the Med/Surg Telemetry specialty prior to travel. A valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license is required. Certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support must be active with no pending requirements. References must come from a supervisory position within the specialty. Candidates will undergo an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate training during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is required. Candidates will receive two attempts to pass; failure to pass will result in cancellation of the contract. Background checks will be reviewed, and no candidates with open cases will be accepted. Nurses are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements temporarily. All other travelers must be nicotine-free and pass a negative drug screen within the last 12 months. BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Candidates are required to pick up their badges and complete on-site fingerprints prior to starting. Modules are completed prior to starting and annually, and vary by specialty. All required training modules are billable with a maximum of 4 hours, and any additional time required is non-billable.
