Job Description

Cable Engineer - UK Wide | Contract Rate: £500-£550/day | Inside IR35 A leading energy consultancy is seeking an experienced Cable Engineer for high-profile HVAC and HVDC transmission projects across the UK. Responsibilities: Design and develop HV cable systems, including selection, installation methods, and technical calculations. Produce engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation. Conduct site surveys, support installation, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with project teams and provide expert technical guidance. Requirements: Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering (or equivalent). Extensive HV cable design and testing experience; HVDC desirable. Knowledge of IEC cable standards, CIGRE/IEEE policies, and 3rd-party cable activities. Chartered Engineer or working towards status. Willingness to travel across UK projects.
