Food Technician Location: Newham, East London Contract Type: Term-time only Salary: £90.00 - £110 Are you passionate about food, creativity, and supporting young people to develop essential life skills? We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Food Technician to join our friendly and dynamic Technology Department at a a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in the heart of Newham. As a Food Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of our Food Technology lessons. You will help prepare practical materials and ingredients, maintain equipment, ensure health and safety standards are met, and assist students during practical sessions. Main Responsibilities Preparing and setting up ingredients, equipment, and resources for food lessons Supporting teachers and students during practical work Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the food rooms Managing stock levels and ordering supplies as required Assisting with displays and showcasing students' work About You The ideal candidate will be: Practical, reliable, and well-organised Passionate about food and cooking Able to work effectively as part of a team A good communicator with students and staff Experienced in a food or catering environment (school experience is desirable but not essential)
