Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1880 - $2020 Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details Location: Petersburg, VA 23805 (Greater Richmond Area) Healthcare Setting: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit (5E), 30-37 beds Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Start Date: November 3, 2025 End Date: January 31, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); every other weekend and major holiday required Hours per Week: 36 Floating: Possible to other med/surg units Interview: No interview required Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in Virginia or compact state (required) Minimum 1 year of recent acute care registered nurse experience (required) At least 1 year of travel RN experience (required) BLS certification (required) Dysrhythmia exam (study guide provided) Surgical nursing experience (preferred) EPIC EHR experience (preferred) ACLS, CCRN, PCCN, and NIH Stroke Certification (preferred) Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Ability to work every other weekend and major holidays Scrub color: Navy blue, white, or any combination Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop and implement individualized care plans Administer medications and treatments per hospital policies and nursing standards Coordinate patient care and serve as a liaison for interdisciplinary healthcare teams and families Float to other medical/surgical units as needed Care for diverse patient populations, including general surgery, trauma, and orthopedic cases Perform phlebotomy and collaborate with CNAs and patient sitters Ensure patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives Manage patients with multi-system organ failure and multisystem trauma Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and emergencies Document care using EPIC (preferred) and comply with infection control policies Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med/Surg Telemetry RN in Petersburg, VA, and take the next step in your nursing career!
