Position Objective The Planning Supervisor is responsible for leading the production planning and materials scheduling activities to ensure customer demand is met on time, in full, and at optimal cost. This role plays a key part in coordinating between production, purchasing, logistics, and customer service teams, ensuring a balanced alignment between supply chain capabilities and customer requirements. The position reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager and leads a team of planners/schedulers. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities Lead and develop the planning team to ensure effective production and materials scheduling across multiple product lines. Ensure timely and accurate demand planning for over 20 customers in the electrical harness industry (home appliances and low-volume automotive). Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to meet customer delivery requirements. Collaborate with operations, procurement, and logistics to improve supply chain efficiency and performance. Review and update production plans according to capacity, material availability, and customer priorities. Monitor KPIs such as OTD (On-Time Delivery), inventory turns, and planning accuracy; implement corrective actions when required. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to planning systems, forecasting tools, and supply chain processes. Support new product introductions and ramp-up activities as the site expands operations in the coming years. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning or materials management , preferably within the wire harness or electrical manufacturing industry. Experience leading a team of planners or schedulers. Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP or similar). Advanced Excel and data analysis skills. Strong communication and coordination skills in both English and Spanish. Results-oriented mindset with focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
