Electrical Design Engineer

Join a leading UK contractor delivering essential water and wastewater infrastructure projects. As a Design Engineer , you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality, technically sound designs that make a real impact. You’ll collaborate with experienced Design Managers and Leads, while also helping to guide and develop junior team members. What You’ll Do Deliver accurate, compliant, and efficient design solutions. Work closely with project teams to develop cost-effective and sustainable designs. Ensure all work meets client standards and health & safety requirements. Support projects from concept through to construction. Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to graduate and assistant engineers. What We’re Looking For Degree-qualified in Engineering (or equivalent). Skilled in AMTECH and AutoCAD/Draftsight. Confident producing electrical design packs (cable calculations, diagrams, schedules, etc.). Good knowledge of BS7671 (18th Edition) and NICEIC certification. Strong communicator with solid problem-solving and organisational skills. Commercially aware, with experience in design, contracting, or consulting.
