Job Description

A nonprofit services organization in New York City is currently seeking a new, licensedChild & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their growing team in the Bronx. In this role, theChild & Adolescent Psychiatrist will be responsible for providingquality psychiatric and/or mental health services within the program as well as assuring the proper delivery of services and appropriate documentation. About the Opportunity: Setting: Clinic Schedule: Monday to Friday Patient Population: Underserved community Responsibilities: TheChild & Adolescent Psychiatrist will: Providepsychiatric assessment of children and families referred to program Recommendspecific forms of therapy needed by children Prescribemedication for children when necessary and maintainappropriate medication records Monitorchildren receiving medication treatment at regular intervals Provideappropriate consultation to clinical staff, teachers and other related personnel, as needed Preparepsychiatric reports as part of the childrens records in keeping with agency and regulatory requirements Participatein special case review conferences and participates in the decision to continue or terminate treatment Reviewand signtreatment plans Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: Licensed to practice in the State of New York Board Certified in Psychiatry Desired Skills: Experience working with Adolescents Your privacy is important to us.
